Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives

If you receive an email from a company selling a list of Annual Meeting attendees, this is not a legitimate opportunity and is not affiliated with ESSAE.

Consider using your volunteer time at ESSAE Annual this year to stay socially engaged! Get to know your industry peers while giving back to the local community during our convention community service project! Participation will be open to all conference attendees and exhibitors.

ESSAE is very excited to be partnering with the Veterans Miracle Center (VMC) this year as part of our 2021 convention and trade show.  The VMC’s heartfelt mission is to offer Veterans and Active-Duty Military Personnel real solutions to enhance their lives. The VMC seeks to provide clothing, personal care, and hygiene products, houseware items, ambulatory equipment, toys for their children, and much more.

All goods and services are available free of charge to Veterans and their immediate household.  In accordance with the VMC mission, we are asking each ESSAE attendee to please donate at least one item to the VMC as a thank you to all of our American heroes.  There will be a table set up at the Capital Center during a specified time to accept your donation.  Once all donations are accepted, they will be transported to the Veterans Miracle Center Store.

If you have any questions on what to donate, please reach out to Deb Goedeke, Discover Albany's Destination Services Manager. Thank you in advance for your participation. We are so very grateful for our Veterans’ service to this great country of ours!

In addition, ESSAE will also be partnering with Mazzone’s Catering and Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless for our food recovery efforts.  Any unused food that has not left the kitchen will be donated to this organization and their Albany Emergency Shelter.  This year-round emergency shelter provides a safe and supportive setting for 30 homeless adults each night.  In addition to temporary shelter, guests receive individualized, supportive case management services that focus on removing barriers to housing stability and addressing self-identified needs and goals.

THANK YOU to all of our attendees for your participation and support!
