Passionate about all things personal and professional development; Miranda has been coaching individuals and groups for over 10 years. Through her experience as a career director and corporate talent manager, she found many flaws in what was being communicated and what was being practiced so she found a way to bridge the gap through education and coaching. She creates and conducts workshops on leadership, finding life/career passion, increasing confidence, goal achievement, and mindset wellness in hopes to shed a light on what's actually possible. She's the leader of multiple Mastermind groups, host of Albany’s #LinkedInLocal, a speaker, and contributor in multiple books, blogs, and podcasts on topics such as motivation, success, leadership and career development.

Miranda is a certified life coach and has a Master’s degree in Motivation and Professional Development and is known as the local motivation Guru!  Her mission is to help guide people towards their best life possible, both professionally and personally. She’s a wife, a mom, and positive force in the community.   

Terra Carnrike-Granata
Director of Information Security , NBT Bank

Terra Carnrike-Granata is Director of Information Security for NBT Bank. She joined NBT in 2008 as Information Security Officer and was promoted to Information Security Risk Manager in 2015 and Director of Information Security in 2017. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University at Albany’s School of Criminal Justice. She holds the CompTIASecurity+ certification—a designation that is globally recognized and approved by the U.S. Department of Defense to validate foundational IT security knowledge and skills. She also serves on the Rutgers University Cybersecurity Advisory Board. Active in her community, Carnrike-Granata has been a volunteer with Chenango United Way since 2010 and currently serves as board chair.

Joanmarie Dowling, Esq.
Founding Member, Dowling Law, PLLC 

Joanmarie is the founding member of Dowling Law, PLLC, a certified woman-owned business.   She advises not-for-profit organizations, large and small, on a variety of legal matters, including board governance, executive compensation, workplace investigations, employee relations, training, and policy and procedure development/review.  She is a frequent presenter on matters affecting New York State not-for-profits.

Joanmarie has successfully defended employers in both federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies.

In addition to administrative and litigation defense representation, Joanmarie provides strategic legal advice to help employers to manage their legal risks while advancing their business and strategic objectives.

Alexander Gutin is the President of Web Scribble, a job board and recruitment marketing software company he co-founded in 2002 to help businesses and associations transform their websites. Alexander holds a BS in Computer Systems and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a JD from Albany Law School.

Daniel O'Leary is a digital strategist at Overit who specializes in data analytics and reporting. He oversees the tracking, analysis and reporting of digital marketing data for Overit clients. He also works with other digital strategists and account managers to inform strategic direction and tactical execution based on data driven insights. Prior to Overit, Daniel worked for 6+ years at a leading search engine optimization (SEO) firm, where in addition to data analysis, he developed strategies to grow website traffic and sales from Google and other search engines. Before marketing, Daniel honed his data analysis and communication skills with stints in retail management and education. He is a two time graduate of Union College, with a BA in English Literature and Masters in Education.

Janeé Pelletier, MBA, CMP, DES

Janeé Pelletier, MBA, CMP, DES is an accomplished meeting executive and strategist for nonprofit and high-tech clients. In her 15+ years of meetings leadership, Janeé has successfully managed hundreds of conferences across North America, Europe, and Asia. Janeé has extensive communications and logistics expertise including the development and deployment of international road show events, complex technical exhibits, art installations, and conventions of more than 5,000 attendees. Janeé also has deep marketing expertise in digital and traditional media.

Prior to joining the MdBio team, Janeé spent ten years building a portfolio of marketing and events at Conference & Logistics Consultants, a full service conference management and consulting firm specializing in national and international conventions. Janeé serves on the board of directors for the Professional Convention Management Association, as well as adjunct faculty at Howard Community College’s Center for Hospitality and Culinary Studies. Janeé has an M.B.A. in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. from Messiah College. When she’s not working or traveling, you can usually find her in the kitchen.

Robert Schneider

Robert S. Schneider has been the Associate Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the New York State School Boards Association since August 2014.  Prior to this position, he was Director of Finance for 15 years.  Before joining the Association, he was Vice President of Administration and Finance for the New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association.  He is a Certified Public Account (CPA), a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and a New York State licensed insurance broker.  He is a graduate of Siena College.

Currently Robert is the Treasurer of Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York and serves on their Executive and Volunteer Committees.  In 2012, Robert served as Board Chair for the Empire State Society of Association Executives (“ESSAE”) and is a member of their Finance and Nominating Committee.  Robert has also served on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Chapter of the NYS Society of CPAs representing the Not-For-Profit industry.  Bob is a member of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants; the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts; American Society of Association Executives; and the Empire State Society of Association Executives.  He was a committee member of the New York State Comptroller’s School District Financial Oversight Task Force in 2005. 

He has made presentations for the NYS Society of CPAs, the American Society of Association Executives, the Empire State Society of Association Executives and the Stakeholders on due diligence, not-for-profit financial accountability and non-dues revenue development.

Van Slyke Strategic Consulting (VSC) principal Bill Van Slyke has more than 20 years experience in the not for profit and government sectors focusing on organizational communications, media and public relations, advocacy, marketing, and issue campaigning. His range of professional experience includes: Vice President for Communications at the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS), Press Officer to the Governor of New York, Deputy Commissioner for Administration and Public Affairs at the NYS Department of Health, Deputy Commissioner for Public Affairs at the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, Public Information Officer at the state Labor Department, Vice President for External Affairs at Columbia Memorial Health, and communications aid to various members of the state Senate and Assembly.

Kevin Testo is a partner in the Bonadio Group’s (TBG) Healthcare and Tax-Exempt Division.  After six years of audit experience with a national Big 4 firm, Kevin joined TBG in 2009.  Kevin primarily focuses his time on health care and non-profit clients, including many associations.  With over fifteen years of experience in public accounting, he is well versed in the unique requirements and reporting matters affecting a wide variety of healthcare and tax exempt organizations.  In addition, Kevin has become a leader in TBG’s employee benefit plan audit team and is designated as one of the firm’s employee benefit plan specialists.   Kevin assists his clients by frequently conducting educational seminars in the non-profit and employee benefits area. 

Kevin graduated cum laude from Siena College in 2003 with a B.A. in Accounting.  He has professional membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Kevin is a graduate of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, as well as the Batiste Leadership Development Program.  Kevin has volunteered on the Finance Committee of Albany's Homeless and Travelers Aide Society (HATAS) since 2009.  In addition, Kevin serves on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors of Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, in which he currently holds the position of Board Treasurer.

John Vero

John has successfully guided businesses of all types and sizes through mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, sales and capitalization. He has extensive experience in the operation and financing of real and personal property, including contractual, licensing, reporting and compliance matters. He also works closely with clients on matters related to insurance, litigation and banking.

“My practice revolves around long-term, trusting relationships with clients, where I’m closely involved in their business lives,” John says. “My goal is to deliver strategic thinking, sound answers and candor. If I’m not bringing value to their business every day, I’m not doing my job.”

A graduate of Union College and Albany Law School of Union University, John has a deep-rooted interest in helping grow the business community and economy of his hometown of Albany extends outside the office, where he serves on various community and volunteer boards.
