EDUCATION & NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES provide information to help you manage your association and advance your career. Topics offered throughout the year lend advice to every level of expertise and job title. Seminars are offered several times a year which focus on timely issues and trends affecting associations and the daily work lives of the association executive.The next upcoming events information and registration will be posted on the homepage each month.

ASSOCIATION RESOURCE bi-monthly newsletter is published 6 times per year and provides program information, member news and articles on association management issues and legislative and policy updates.

SITE INSPECTION TRIPS can be scheduled for members to become acquainted with hotels, convention and visitors bureaus and facilities at various locations around New York State and other parts of the country.

COMMITTEE/TASK FORCE: Involvement is your opportunity to influence the direction and focus of your professional society. Using all available technologies, ESSAE will utilize your advice and guidance while keeping your time and travel at a minimum!

SPECIAL INTEREST FORUMS are held for specific sections of association management, (e.g., technology, membership , marketing communications, meetings, CEOs, etc.). Forums provide an opportunity for exchange of information and sharing solutions for association issues specific to each group.

EMPLOYMENT REFERRAL SERVICE provides ESSAE members with an opportunity to seek new positions and/or advertise openings within associations in the Association Resource and in weekly e-blasts.

RESOURCE GUIDE – a new feature of ESSAE’s website, this guide will provide links, models, samples, articles and a lending library book list covering numerous topics in the association field. Future plans for the Resource Guide include a search-able Speaker Directory.

STUDY GROUPS help CERTIFIED ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE (CAE) candidates prepare for their examinations.

ANNUAL MEETING AND AWARDS PROGRAM recognizes the contributions of ESSAE members to the growth and development of ESSAE and the association field at large.This evening event is held each year late January or early February.

ESSAE E-NEWS a bi-weekly email sent to members with the most current calendar items, hot deals and links to open event registrations.

ANNUAL TRADE SHOW features educational programs geared toward meeting planning and association-related topics. It brings together buyers and service providers of association products and services. Attendees enjoy a full day of networking, education, exhibits and entertainment.

Annual Membership Costs:

Primary Member: $225 (Association) - First person to join from a non-profit, trade, professional, or business association (staff engaged in the management of associations); includes convention & visitor bureau (CVB) president/CEO/executive directors/staff.

Secondary Member: $140 (Association) - Second person from an entity that already has a primary member.

Additional Staff: $80 (Association) - All others from an entity that already has a primary or secondary member.

Associate Member: $330 (Supplier/Vendor) - These members include essential vendors and professionals such as hotels, venues, caterers, publishers, marketers, and the other number of professional service providers that serve the association professional members of ESSAE.

Additional Associate Member: $180 (Supplier/Vendor) -  All others from an entity that already has a primary associate member.

Affiliate Member: $125 - For those individuals not covered by Active or Associate Membership, with a special interest in association management, or individuals who spend less than 50% of their working time on association activities. (government officials, educators, students, etc.)
