Who we are:
The CVB is the recognized Destination Marketing / Management organization in
Albany County, New York. The CVB is a mature organization with over 40 years of
destination management experience. The CVB contracts with Albany County to
provide destination development services; the CVB contracts with the City of
Albany for the management and programs of the Albany Visitor Center and with
the Albany Airport Authority to manage the airport information booth.
There is a dynamic sales, marketing and operations team of 13 and with other
responsibilities a total staff of 40.

The Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau strengthens the awareness of
Albany County as a convention and visitor destination, attracting individuals,
families and businesses from around the world to increase revenue and stimulate
economic development and growth for the community.
Who are we looking for?
- A motivated self-starter who can strategize and lead a successful destination sales program.
- Provide clients and partners with winning combinations that will maintain current business and build new business opportunities across all travel platforms (meetings, conventions, group and individual travel)
- Take charge of a winning team of sales and service professionals and coordinate with the marketing team to develop a holistic approach to business development
- Utilize the CVB’s robust CRM and CMS systems to track and report on all activities
- A sales leader who will be able to set booking pace especially with high profile clients
- Be a destination advocate and cheerleader

- Robust sales in all travel markets
- Great tracking systems that will demonstrate success
- A sales and service team that works seamlessly with other CVB functions resulting in collaborative program success internally and externally
- Recognition of the CVB as the regional leader in hospitality business development
