Are You Willing to Serve?

The ESSAE Nominations & Leadership Development Committee is now seeking volunteer leaders to serve on the ESSAE Board of Directors! We want our Board to be representative of the finest leaders in the profession, and we need your input to make that happen! Help ESSAE enrich its mission to advance the association profession through a community of knowledge, sharing, education, and advocacy.

Together We Guide. Empower. Lead.

Board service is both an honor and an opportunity that may be one of the most rewarding experiences of your career. Some of the fantastic benefits of board service include the chance to:

  • Impact the direction and priorities of ESSAE. Let your passion for ESSAE guide the future of our organization.
  • Expand your personal and professional network. You will work with great colleagues that you may not get to work with otherwise.
  • Grow as an association professional by building your skillset. It is an opportunity to stretch your wings and participate in activities you may not have access to in your day-to-day work.
  • Support the ESSAE brand. You can help increase awareness of ESSAE, its mission, and your role in its evolution.

Please consider what you have to offer to ESSAE. It is an organization that has provided so much to its members. Pay it forward.

For the 2026 Board term, ESSAE is seeking to fill up to four Director vacancies for Association members (including DMO/CVB representatives). Pursuant to the Society's bylaws (revised March 2025), each Director will serve a two-year term (March 2026 – March 2028) and may serve up to three consecutive terms, after which a two-year break is required before becoming eligible again.  Members of the Board shall serve without compensation.  Nominees must be current members of the Society.

Terms of office begin upon installation at the annual meeting following the election. Similar to last year, the annual meeting will be held in conjunction with The TripleM Institute and the Annual Awards Luncheon.  This year, the event will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Applications may be submitted from October 14 through Friday, November 14, 2025.

Thank you for your interest! Please contact Carrie Laney, Executive Director, with any questions.

Sincerely,

Ashley Ranslow
