To the ESSAE Members & Community:

Despite the continued effects of COVID-19 on our industry and our economy, ESSAE’s staff, board, and volunteer committees have continued to meet regularly to develop the best ways to serve our members.

We are working diligently to continue to provide the value, the resources, and the networking for which our members look to this organization. To our valued vendors: your support is more important than ever, as nonprofits from around the state need creative partners to help them through these challenging times. 

We at ESSAE hold our members' health and well-being as a top priority, and we understand the financial challenges that many of us are facing this year. As such, after careful consideration and planning, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Annual Conference and Trade Show. 

We ask for your understanding and patience during this difficult time and we look forward to your involvement next year. The ESSAE Trade Show Committee has already begun brainstorming and planning for the next conference, including a new show format. Stay tuned for updates!

Current exhibitors and sponsors who have already paid for space will automatically receive credit for next year’s event. If refunds are needed, we will certainly accommodate those requests. 

Our top priority for the near future is to support you in staying connected and provide practical resources that will help you and your business thrive, even in the face of adversity. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with ESSAE’s COVID-19 resource page and do not hesitate to contact ESSAE with any questions you may have.

Personal connection is more important now than ever, and we will continue to be the place for you to meet and network with colleagues from around New York State. There are new challenges we all must face — health, safety and overall well-being — but we are confident that our members and vendor partners will successfully confront these challenges and remain connected through ESSAE. 

Thank you for your flexibility and support, and we will keep our members apprised of new programming changes as we navigate this new business environment together.

ESSAE offers educational seminars several times a year which focus on timely issues and trends affecting associations and the daily work-lives of the executive. ESSAE members freely share their experiences and expertise with fellow members so you don’t have to “reinvent the wheel.” In addition to these educational programs, ESSAE offers its members the opportunity to establish both a personal and professional relationship through many social events such as:

Every educational program sponsored by ESSAE offers points toward achieving your Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. In addition, a regular study group for CAE candidates convenes each Fall to prepare for annual CAE examinations.
